Salam,
My name is Safa Abida, I believe that great teaching starts with strong relationships. When students feel comfortable, welcomed, and supported, they’re much more willing to try new things, take risks, and grow. In my classroom, I focus on creating a positive, student-centered environment where everyone feels heard. I love using inquiry-based learning, differentiation, and reflection to help students understand not just what they learn, but how they learn.
Over the years, I’ve taught a wide range of subjects—ELA, Social Studies, PE, and Health for Grades 7–9—and a variety of option courses for Grades 7–12, including Drama, Leadership, First Aid, Early Childhood Education, Foods, and Business Studies. No matter the subject, my goal is always the same: to help students build confidence, take responsibility for their learning, and develop important life skills. One of the most memorable experiences in my career was teaching English in Spain. Immersing myself in a new language and culture strengthened my empathy for second-language learners and expanded my global perspective. I’m grateful for every opportunity I’ve had to grow as an educator, and I’m excited to continue bringing that experience into my work. I look forward to continuing my journey with Al Amal Online Academy and contributing to our students’ success in meaningful ways.
