ONLINE EDUCATION

Highschool Grade 10-12

High school courses at Al-Amal Online Academy are offered as both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (video recorded) courses taught by Alberta certified teachers. Our teachers also provide additional office hours for one on one support for students who need additional assistance. 

To be eligible for courses in Semester Two, a student must be registered in an Alberta School by Alberta Education’s September count date, September 30, 2025. 

Full-Time & Part-Time Students

Full Time

Primary Students

Students registered before Alberta Education’s September count date who complete the majority of their online learning with Al-Amal Online Academy.

  • Registered before September count date
  • Majority of courses with Al-Amal Online Academy
  • May have one non-primary registration with another school

Credit Limits

  • Years 1–3: 40 credits
  • Year 4: 20 credits
  • Year 5: 10 credits

Part Time

Non-Primary Students

Students registered before Alberta Education’s September count date who take the majority of their classes with another school.

  • Registered before September count date
  • Majority of courses taken with another school
  • Maximum of 10 credits with Prairie Land School Division
  • Cannot be enrolled in more than two school divisions
