Salam,
I am a passionate math teacher, lifelong learner and a homeschool facilitator with 12 years of homeschooling experience. I am dedicated to empowering youth academically, spiritually, and personally, while also mentoring families to homeschool confidently and effectively. I’m an outdoor field leader and passionate about outdoor learning and teaching, and have developed Deen and Dunya workshops with that philosophy in mind. I teach a weekly halaqa for youth girls and mentors youth through various initiatives, including organizing programs like “Slices of Awareness” and the SW Masjid Summer Program for Youth.
Committed to equity in education, I have met with the Education Minister to discuss the impacts of Islamophobia and the importance of inclusive curricula. A former Board of Director and a current committee member of a housing cooperative, I combine leadership experience with hands-on mentorship to inspire youth to engage, serve, and lead. Outside of work, I love spending time with family and enjoy outdoor adventures such as camping and hiking.
